In 2005, the Hornaceks bought their KOA campground and molded it into their dream. "We did a lot of camping with our children and we just love the camping lifestyle," said Georganne. "We talked about buying a campground for many years." According to Dave and Georganne, the campground's beauty draws visitors and then keeps them coming back. The sites are nicely spaced and privacy is assured. "Our campers like the peace and quiet of the campground," added Georganne. Among the 70 acres of mature trees, campers can walk the trails, and enjoy the nature and wildlife. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, the campground still offers high-tech amenities such as wireless internet. "We have refinished the pool, remodeled the store/registration office, and cleaned the place up immensely," said Georganne. Dave and Georganne's children, Stacey and Dan, are nearby and have been an enormous help to make the KOA a success. The family-oriented park welcomes campers from all over the world, and the Hornaceks love to visit with people and hear their stories. Being campers themselves, Georganne added that they know how people want and should be treated. This influences decisions regarding the park and ensures the best possible service. "I would like to think that we go that extra mile to make sure our campers are happy and comfortable," said Georganne. Upgrading the campground is always on the Hornaceks' minds, and in their free time, they take the opportunity to do so.
